Two figures slumber in the “16ème chambre d’amour,” their silken limbs entwined on a downy duvet, a hint of grainy sand chilling their exposed bodies. Bathed in the cave’s dim light, a weathered yellow rock looms, its surface etched with stories untold, while a vibrant orange swathe dances beneath it, a cryptic echo of forgotten beauty. In their sleep, they mirror each other, faces turned inwards, the left arm curled gently under the other’s face, the right hand tracing a gentle path across a cheek. The gesture speaks of unspoken love, a silent promise of warmth even in this harsh embrace of stone. The scene unfolds like a visual poem, echoing the yearning lyrics of ‘The Song of Achilles,’ a fleeting glimpse of tenderness before the world’s cold touch.
