Evgeny Mokhorev
Evgeny Mokhorev is a Russian photographer known primarily for his work that captures the transition from childhood to adulthood. Born in 1967 in Leningrad, now known as Saint Petersburg, Mokhorev became engaged in photography from a young age.
His early series, begun when he was still a student, explored the lives of children living on the streets of post-Soviet Saint Petersburg. Throughout his work, Mokhorev often delves into themes of adolescence, vulnerability, and the human body, capturing the nuanced and sometimes uneasy transition into adulthood.
